the journey | A biography
Nicole Arrage is a multilingual Lebanese-Canadian artist whose music blends pop, soul, indie, and R&B influences into a sound that’s warm, emotional, and unmistakably hers. Rich in harmonies and vocal ear-candies, her songs highlight a vocal versatility that stands at the heart of her sound. With her songwriting, she weaves stories of heartbreak, healing, nostalgia, and perseverance through an intimate approach to storytelling. Her musical theatre background shapes a stage presence that is both contagious and playful, yet vulnerable and grounded in honesty.
After obtaining a diploma in pure and applied science, she moved to Montreal to study at École de Musique Vincent-d'Indy in Jazz Voice & Composition. There, she received the Aura Award of Excellence and the Pierre Lapointe & Christine Harkness scholarship. She then completed her degree at McGill University's Schulich School of Music in Jazz Voice Performance, studying with Ranee Lee.
Her award-winning music video Upside Down appeared on Stingray Music's ADISQ Chart, gained over 7M views on TikTok and won Best Music Video at the 2021 LA Sun Film Fest.
Her passion for musical theatre had her performing in many productions including Vivian in Legally Blonde: The Musical (in FR), The Narrator in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a 2018 Montreal English Theatre Award winner for Outstanding Community Production at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts, Little Shop of Horrors, Into The Woods, and Fiddler on the Roof. She has also performed at the 2018 Halifax Fringe Festival. Nicole is also the founder of Silantra Live Music, an entertainment company bringing fine jazz experiences to corporate events, weddings and holiday celebrations.
With Déjà Vu, Scorpios & Geminis, Solitude and now Set You Free, she is getting ready to release her debut EP ‘‘Unapologetically Me’’ this fall.
